The 12^th National Steering Committee meeting was held on Friday, 24^th February 2023 at Uganda Martyrs University, Nkozi. The main objective of the meeting was to present and discuss the Project Progress Report, Share the ACE II Impact Note and also discuss the way forward.

Among the participants were the leaders from the four (4) African Centers of Excellence (ACEs) hosted at different institutions in Uganda.

In the meeting, it was noted that given the number of accredited programs and the enrolment of national and regional students, the ACEs are on track in building capacity to deliver quality postgraduate training. Also considering the number of publications and partnerships signed, it was noted that the ACEs have strengthened capacity building for collaborative research and innovation.

During the course of the meeting, participants had a chance to visit the ACALISE exhibition booth where the center showcased some of the innovations they have achieved and these included but not limited to BSFL products as alternative protein source in animal feed, Organic Pesticides, Bio-fertilizers, Food tenderizes, Pelleted fertilizers and IMO for soil health and fertility.
